Seems like Salsa is rolling out a couple on a monthly basis. Everyone is wondering who would be the golden virgin boy and crystal gal after J&E. Well, folks, I present to you….The golden virgin boy and  crystal gal for this month is our zhang san feng, Charles and Gung-Ho Gal, Sharon. An interesting match. One is rou and one is gang. Add rou and gang together and you have rou rou gang gang. (sounds weird) What a potent cocktail of love.

As you all know, every love story has a starting point, be it a bachata dance (Eg. Terence who SOCK Serne with his bachata dance moves, Micheal who SOCK Tarcie with his dance moves, Daniel who SOCK May with his smooth dance steps) But in this case, its nothing related to Salsa or dancing… in fact, it was an Xbox that did the trick… It all started during Singapore first Salsa Festival… seeing an Xbox in the chalet, the 2 friends, at that time decided to rent a game to pass away the time… well, i guess that they dun wan to let salsa takes up all their leisure time.. Its a wonder they can still find time to battle it out in the game "dead or alive" amid the shagadelic routine of the salsa workshops. Never have we seen 2 ppl going at it so enthusiastically… screams, shouts, ahhh, oooo, aiyah, wahlau practically filled the room whenever they slugged it out on the xbox console! The picture below is evident of their *ahem* passion to "hoot" the game.
Even with a face mask on (see pic left) , Charles couldn’t let pass an opportunity to
spar with Sharon in Dead or Alive. Guess he really wanted her that bad, either dead or alive.. (Charles : OII! I want her alive, not dead!)

Nevertheless, after the salsa festival, we have not heard any news from them. I supposed they went into tunnelling dating or underground dating. No wonder Charles been MIA at union nowadays. It appears that there is a trend for every couple in love being MIA for a while. A case of "Got time to date, no time to salsa?" Oh, I stand corrected. I shouldn’t say no time to salsa, as those who has become a couple has improved their dancing skills by leaps and bounds. Take the case of J&E. Look at the flamboyant way that J dances now. So smooth and poise with confidence. Anyway, back to Charles. As you all know, you can’t keep a tunnel dating under wraps for long as you have to come up to catch some air. And indeed, the news broke on 04/11/06 after a Saturday Salsa Class. It begin like this…

Dino: Charles, wanan go makan after class?

Charles : *looks up* *beams into his trademark smile*  (just in case u are wondering what his trademark smile looks like, look to your right) Oh, I am meeting a FRIEND for dinner at Suntec.

Dino: Oh, ok, we see you later at union then.

Charles: Ok.

Later, Karen called him, asking him where he was as he has disappeared like Superman going after Lois Lane in distress. Same question, same answer. But later, I think there is a SMS from Charles saying, get me 2 drinks at union later. *eyebrows raised* *question marks filled the air* now now now, *rubs chin* who could be Charles’s date? Anyway, we bo chap eat kway chap and proceeded to Bugis for dinner and goodness gracious holy almighty, we saw Charles there at the MRT control booth, obviously looking and waiting for someone. Karen immediately ONA BULLA him and he was surprised to see us there. Asked him what he is doing at Bugis instead of Marina, he informed that the venue has changed to bugis instead. As a goodwill of gesture, we invited him and his friend to have dinner with us. He agreed and he divulged (with his trademark smile) that his friend is Sharon. Oh ok, Sharon.. hmm.. ok, so his friend is Sharon but isn’t she our friend as well?

Dano: (psst… I think he wants to spend quality time with her alone as it is her birthday!). If you all there, he cannot say mushy-dovey stuff to her. And she is his girlFRIEND, not his friend.
Dino: Oh yah hor,ok. Point noted.

Thus, our gentlemanly Charles decided to surprise her with a birthday cake. Thus, he and KC sneak off halfway to buy a cake, on the pretext of going to the toilet. Eh guys, don’t use such a lame excuse of going to the toilet next time. It’s kinda hard to explain why 2 guys need to spend time in the toilet for so long.

After the cake has been made in the toilet by the 2 gentlemen, we headed off to Union. And when the time is ripe, we surprised her with the cake. Look at her reaction in the left pic. We did feel the ripples of her joy. But the joy won’t be complete without a partner to share with. And of course, the honour goes to Charles, the mastermind of the whole celebration and who was promptly rewarded with a peck on the cheek

by the birthday girl. Well he also did kiss the bride..

Dano: OII! They not yet married lah. Simi Bride.

Dino:  hmm not yet?  ok..  *rephrase*

Rephrase : He did kiss the lady of the night too. Originally, we wanted a french kiss. And if you look carefully and zoom in, you will see Charles face blushing and flushing with happiness like a red spanked baby (_).(_).

After that, he started off the dance with the bday gal. And how they twirled and flirted with one another in the dance. The passion, the lovey dovey eye contact between them is enough to send goosebumps down one’s spine. All in all, it ended in a night of passion and happiness for the couple. May they have everlasting gaming happiness with each other and their Xbox.
